The Teignmouth Farmers’ Market regular stall holders welcome other Teignmouth Estuary producers to join them for this bustling festival market on Saturday 24th, September form 10:00am to 2:00pm
Mill Top Orchards selling refreshing apple juice and cider, Red Earth Kitchen with their gourmet treats and Cockleshell Deli with their popular pies will be joined by the likes of The African Chef from Newton Abbot featuring his baobab flavoured preserves. Those looking for organic foods find can buy beef or lamb from Bowden Farm or pork and selected vegetables from Abbey Meadow. Local business Slow ‘n’ Low purveyor of BBQ street food, will also have vacuum packed food that you can buy to take home and enjoy. Gluten free diets are also catered for with newcomer Tilley’s Bakery selling certified gluten free bakery items. Or pick up the makings for a picnic on the beach with cheeses from Curworthy, bread from Shaldon Bakery and delicious chutney from Shute Fruit and Produce.
Kitchen Cart cookery demos will also take place in the centre of the market with local chefs showcasing the amazing variety of foods from the area.
With all this abundance the farmers’ market doesn’t forget those not so blessed. HITS food bank, the nominated charity for the festival, will be talking about its support for those who struggle with food and finance issues and how you can help.
