In a recent article the Guardian Newspaper nominated Teignmouth as one of the must go to holiday destinations in the world for 2017. Here is an extract of the article.
This picturesque town has been a holiday favourite since Georgian times. Its appeal today still lies in traditional seaside fun – paddling on the town’s beach, playing the arcades on the Grand Pier and taking England’s oldest passenger ferry across the estuary to neighbouring Shaldon. But in recent years it has also gained a reputation as a foodie hotspot. This year will see the third Teignmouth food festival and the summer launch of a new self-guided Taste of the Teign food trail further cements its status as a destination for gourmets. The trail will take in Old Walls vineyard, Red Rock Brewery, Milltop Orchards, and local places to eat such as the Crab Shack, which brings in fresh seafood every day on its own boats.
